There are many companies now offering services for Trial by Declaration.  While their "deal" seems too good to refused, it can create a hurdle in your actual trial if the law enforcement officer provides a response.  The problem with this type of approach is that the Trial by Declaration documents are usually not prepared and drafted by a California licensed attorney.  Many people submit these declarations without any legal grounds.  Later, when the court decides to rule against the ticketed party in the Trial by Declaration, you will probably end up hiring a licensed attorney to fight your case in court.

The problem then is that the attorney has to fight your ticket while you have presented potentially incriminating facts to the court under the penalty of perjury.  These disclosed facts could make fighting the case extremely difficult, if not impossible.
